ASAP is proof that ASAP Rocky is continuing to be a driving force and front runner in hip-hop and is only getting better and finding himself more with each new release.īelow is the music video for LSD (Love, Sex, Dreams) He features on almost a third of the album, singing the hooks.

There was also his new prodigy, Joe Fox who is a singer, guitarist and song writer Rocky found playing in London. Other new collaborations included Kanye West who also features as a producer and the unlikely Rod Stewart on ‘Everyday’. M’s was another hit single, being accompanied with a new collaboration, teaming up with Lil Wayne. ‘Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye Two’ is a massive hit and proves that he is also improving his rapping skills technically along with his style. This was not to say that the album did not feature hit singles. The result was a more hallucinogenic, spacey feeling to the tracks such as ‘LSD’ and ‘Fine Wine’. Instead it can be seen that he was more inclined to experiment with this product and found himself as an artist. The album itself compared to Rocky’s first studio album does not feature pop hits to the likes of ‘Wild for the Night’ and ‘F****n’ Problems’. He also features in in the outro of the album at the end of ‘Back Home’ where he concludes the album by saying ASAP B****!. ASAP Yams is listed as a executive producer on the album as he is for Live.

ASAP was heavily inspired by ASAP Yams and it has an effect on the feel of the album.

ASAP Yams was Rocky’s right-hand man and mentor throughout his life and career. It was in the wake of Rocky’s long time best friend and co-founder of ASAP Worldwide, ASAP Yams’ death on January 26, 2015. ASAP Rocky’s highly anticipated second studio album was released on May 26, 2015.
